WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT & PROCESS?
Depending on whether you make a purchase, create an account or contact us online, by phone or otherwise, we collect and process various personal data categories. Much of the personal data we process is obtained directly from you, for example when you register and provide your contact details. We also receive technical device and log information which is automatically collected when you interact with our online services. This may, for example, be your IP-address and the timestamp of your visit.

FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
For us to fulfil and manage your purchases, orders, payments, returns or other requests, we need to process your personal data. In other words providing certain personal data is condition of service and if you are not providing the asked information we cannot do business with you or deliver any products to you.

The principal recipient of your personal data is Rapala VMC Corporation We also work particularly closely with certain service providers, for example in the area of product shipping (e.g. shipping and delivery service providers), and with technical service providers (e.g. companies running data centres where we host our IT-systems). These service providers may generally only process your data on our behalf under special conditions.
Group companies. Many systems and technologies are shared within Rapala VMC Corporation which us to offer you a more economical, secure, unified and personalised service. Therefore, companies within Rapala group which require access to your data to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations, or to fulfil their respective functions within our group, receive your personal data.
IT & Data centre providers. We work with different IT service providers in order to be able to provide our services. These service providers include, for example, IT-system providers, Cloud providers and data centre providers.
Warehouse & logistics providers. To deliver your orders, we disclose your personal details and purchase information to our warehouse partners as well as carrier providers that will deliver your purchases.
Marketing partners. With your consent we may share your browsing data across social media platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube to conduct our marketing activities. Product suppliers, distributors and manufacturers. In some situations, your personal data can be disclosed to different product suppliers and manufacturers. DO WE TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA?
Outside the European Union Rapala VMC Corporation receives and transfers personal data to and from the United States of America in order to provide the web shop service rendered on our website in association with our affiliates and subcontractors located the United States of America.
All relationships are covered with necessary data protection agreements and we go great lengths to ensure all our international partners are following necessary legislation.
When your personal data is transferred to a third country, the level of protection may decrease from the level guaranteed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Therefore, we strive to implement the necessary measures before each transfer to ensure the high-level protection of your personal data, in line with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

For example due to security reasons complete credit card numbers are never saved or stored by us. Data we need to complete your order we process until you have received your order and as long we have an obligation by the law to track our transactions. Again as long we have your consent it is our honor to serve our marketing material for you.
Bear in mind that even though your client relationship would end with us we might still process your personal data as long as we have a valid legal reason to do so. This might be for example for us to enforce our legal rights in which case the data will be kept until the legal matter has been fully ceased.
